Quinta São José



This activity takes place at our farm called “Quinta São José”, which is located in the village of Rabo de Peixe, in the city of Ribeira Grande.

Your experience is made up of two parts. The first consists of a visit to the goat farm “Caprinos Quinta São José”, where guests interact with all the animals, take care of the kids (baby goats ) by offering them a bottle of milk, learn all about feeding, reproductive management and understand goat behaviour. Finally our guests are encouraged to hand-milk some of our producers.

The product pulled from this milking will be included in the breakfast that follows.

The second part of the experience is the meal, i.e. breakfast.

Assorted local and regional breads are offered (rustic bread, bolo da sertã and bolo yeast), several types of homemade sweets, different types of cheeses produced with the farm’s milk, a delicacy from São Miguel called Pé de Torresmo, honey produced on the farm (Apiário Quinta São José), tea, coffee and fruit (banana and/or pineapple).

The entire breakfast is shared with opportunities for warm and friendly conversations what that makes this experience in a unique moment of magic!
